HOWTO post lots of pics aka fusker script
GogaTech Research&Development team [Goga having no sleep] put together from peices of code a nice and useful script

This message describes, or attempts to describe how to use this SCRIPT.

script location > http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/links/fusker.php

who would want to use this script? >> anyone who can copy&paste cheer.gif

the idea here that if u are a nice person enjoying this forum, one day u found an interesting gallery or consecutive links. inserting multiple IMG tags into your post can be a hassle and previous script(s) attempted to ease the pain for some advanced users, but the rest were still left confused as previous script required you to enter ranges for starting and ending picture. this new SCRIPT simplifies the job a little.

how to start? well use the code luke !
if u see something in this format
CODE
http://www.anything.org/cosplay/picture[1-5].jpg

or sometimes
CODE
http://www.anything.org/gallery[01-10]/picture[1-5].jpg

all you have to do is:
  1. go to this script link >> http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/links/fusker.php
  2. paste the code you found into the top box
  3. Press Enter or click 'Generate' button
  4. Presto ! if u pasted the code correctly you should have a buncha links surrounded by IMG tags looking similar to this
then press generate your output will be in this format
    CODE

    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery001/picture001.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery001/picture002.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery001/picture003.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery002/picture001.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery002/picture002.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery002/picture003.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery003/picture001.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery003/picture002.jpg[/IMG]
    [IMG]http://dyn1.gogafetish.com/gallery003/picture003.jpg[/IMG]
  5. All is left to do is select everything in the box, copy & paste it into your new post/topic
  6. press 'preview post' before submitting to see if images show up and are not remotely blocked from direct-linking
if u are trying to post/hotlink to pics and image and they dont show up CHeck the image URL first then use this script to check if the site allows hotlinking

Ladies and Gentlemen, the following information is courtesy of a former poster. The information tells you how to post lots of pics using imagevenue.com, and place thumbnail pics in your Gogatech post. If you find this valuable, (and you will!) see if you can post stuff as good as she did!!! biggrin.gif

Using ImageVenue free file hosting service.

First go to http://imagevenue.com/host.php, you do not have to register or create an account with them but, it helps manage the things you do upload. If you create an account, you have to log in each time you go there, if not you can just start uploading. If you have an account you can make a Dir or folder for everything you upload. When you log in you will be shown a list of all the Dirs or folders you have uploaded. To make a new folder just type into the box what you want to name it, than click "CreateNewDir" under that box. Then another box will come up saying "You can start uploading your images here" Click "In Blue" (Begin Uploading Files). Then another page comes up & you'll see the "basic upload page" where you can choose to upload 5, or 10 images at a time. Then under that you will see a list of "browse" boxes, 5 or 10 which ever you choose. Click the top "browse" box, & choose the image you want to upload from your PC. Do that for each image you want to upload. Then when you're done, go to the bottom of the "browse" boxes & click the "Send file(s)" box. This will take a while depending on your connection speed, naturally larger files take longer than smaller ones. When your files are uploaded another page will come up showing the pics you just uploaded. Scroll down under the pics you uploaded & you'll see 3 boxes with print in them, use the first box for posting to The Goga Forum. Either "Right Click" to copy & paste the "hotlinks" or click the blue lettering that says "Copy URL". It's pretty much the same as attaching pics in your e-mail.

Then after that what (I do) is paste the "hotlinks" to a "Notepad Doccument".

Now if you want to add more pics to that folder just click "Host Another File" in the blue lettering at the top of the page. But before you do this be sure you click the page first so the "blue highlighting" goes off of the "Hotlink Box" Otherwise what has happened to (me) is (I got) double images or, repeats of the first set of pics. When you click "Host Another File" the "Browse boxes" will come up again & repeat the steps from the above paragraph.

When the pics are uploaded do the same as above with the "Hotlink box". And paste it to the "Notepad Doccument".

Then (what I do) is name that "Notepad Doccument" the same as what I named the Dir or, folder at ImageVenue & save it in a folder that I have for posting to The Goga Forum. I like to get several things uploaded ahead of time becuase it makes it easier if you have a hectic schedule like mine.

Then if you want to upload more, at the top of the last page you'll see "Dir Creator" & repeat everything from above.

I know I had a really hard time trying to figure out how to post to The Goga Forum when I first joined, so I hope this helps & isn't too confusing. Like anything new, it's hard at first, then it's a piece of cake.

Most file hosting services work about the same, some are better than others. They all have their drawbacks, but ImageVenue is easy once you get used to it & doesn't fill you up with add ware & spy ware like a lot of them do.

So good luck & I hope to see a lot of new pics here at The Goga Forum. rolleyes.gif
