The reason newbies need to read - javascript is ON most of the time on factory settings. You HAVE to turn off javascript - otherwise there will be NO notification that you are SENDING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THE SITE. And, some may use that for BAD things - like arresting or questioning you.

Many people post here using -Not-allowed-TRACKING-traps-contained- and other sites that require javascript.

Much tolerance should be given, as some countries do not care if topic material is downloaded. But, if it is a crime to d/l topic material in YOUR country, do not go to -Not-allowed-TRACKING-traps-contained- and d/l illegal material. It is like committing suicide.

Once visted, a simple javascript routine can do a "whois" that will give the EXACT name to the originating site within a matter of seconds of who the downloader is - regardless of proxy. And, javascript can also be used to hack and attack you while downloading. There are currently many attacks which have no defense for in ANY virus program.

Cookies can be added that can NOT be erased, and will not be flagged when they are tried to be erased. These cookies can be read by anyone with proper tools, and where you visited, what you downloaded, and what you did will be immediately recorded and ready for review.

So, it is your choice. Some people still want to play Russian Roulette. Leave javascript and cookies off, and the problem does not exist.

Please add 2 this list other unsafe servers u can find, so the big mistakes will not b made.

You have to use this 2 solutions to have good results. But, with this solutions, all cookies aren't deleted (may be).

Most file hosting servers are NoT safe at all. If you insist on using uploaders to post files you should atleast use ones like http://ktkr.vip2ch.com/ or http://up.magic3.net/
The best way though is to use we wwwb (web boards) like centraloil.co.kr/wwwb/data/

Also check http://www.stilllistener.addr.com/checkpoint1/Java/ to see what java, javascript, and VBscript can do if turned on.

BTW Java is the most dangerous of all


Bootslick, They would have to crack the encryption just like anyone else if the don't have the pass. What Serguei is saying is to use a mixture of characters so it is not so easy to crack. If you use a pass like sandra it will be very easy for a bruteforce program to crack it.

FYI The name of the thread is "Unsafe Servers !danger!" and the boards I just posted are much safer and don't run the risk of getting shutdown or your info easily being just handed over due to where the servers are located.

If your not posting abusive content then who cares which file hosting server your using as it doesn't matter...They would all be safe in that sense.

Tha same go for dld'ng? How do you turn that crap off in IE, it has been ages for me tooling with settings.

EZ-est way is after starting the IE go 2 "Extra"(next 2 "help")=>Internet Options=>Tab Privacy=>Block all coockies=>Tab Security=>Adjust Security=>scroll down in the list=>turn off Java scripting=> turn off executing scripts=> OK=> refresh=> You r safe surfer now!

not by java ppl, but by server administration. So if u'll break their rules they got ALL information about YOUR computer (send to them by java-scripting) and is now up to admins to send the violators info to the police or not. That's what I call a fucked up situation.

Some peeps were sain' that is not a problem becaurse on some Rapidshit links the counter is like 10000 dl and is pain in the ass to get all of them tracked. I say this is bullshit: even if it is 10 zillion dl, info is been collected and listed by scriprting and to send this lists to the Polizei needs 3 actions: ctrl+a => ctrl+c => "send" that motherfucker. I'm sure it takes less than 2 sec.

I said it so many times: pay no visits to the mentioned servers no matter how good the content of the links may look like in the preview and the problem does not x-ist.

The java thing is news to me. I was told that with opera and my anti-virus, that I should be safe from viruses via java (and other means).

But about the IP, I didn't think there was a way to hide that info. and thats pretty much the only info you need to find someone. But also I didn't think that ever happen just do to the share volume of data flowing. Just look at NAMBLA or webeweb. Sites like that make national news. Webeweb may of been closed, but only the photoergrapher found guilty of anything wrong (lascivious or indecent acts with a minor???). everone else is off, and they didn't even try, or think about trying to find or go after the people who visited/had membership to the site. And no one was even charged with being connected to NAMBLA or any activities that happen on the site, the site is still up. (but if you are charged with some other sexual crime, in court they will use NAMBLA membership to ruin your character).

has anyone heard of any cases of people being caugth from using software like E-mual or sendfile.com? If so, can you post it. I would be really interested in reading about that.

Also in the US (if wrong, plz correct me) That in this day and age of CGI and video editing, it's not enough to simply have pic/videos of someone that looks to young, or in general, doing something illegal. You have to bring that person in to court to to prove with out a doubt that this is indeed a real person, and not a photoshoped faked.

You can try to you hidden.
Hidden? How? By giving less information on you.
For example :
Credit card number,
bank account number,
e-mail,
IP address
or some others informations... (some others informations sending with javascritp, ...)



About your supposition on US law, It is false.
And if it's true, it's easy to prove pictures or videos are not faked.
With faked image it's also dangerous because some countries forbid all pictures under 18 (real person or not).
Lolicon, you know? Normally, lolicon represent no-real guy but Lolicon are prohibed in US and in a lot of countries (in Japan, Lolicon are legal).
